Halloween 2009

well halloween 2009 is finally here! we have done so many fun things for halloween this year... decorating the house, pumpkin patch, ghost house 2wice, making the halloween gingerbread house, our halloween party, marine world fright fest, pumpkin cooking projects... all leading up to tonight.

WHEN DADDY HAS A GAME... BUMMER...

so because the huskies had a game we decided to go trick or treating early so daddy would not miss out on ashlyn's first time! we told our closest neighbors that we would be stopping by early b/c of the game. I think the neighbors enjoyed it just as much as we did. we are so lucky to live in a nice neighborhood. we all {well mostly, except one house} get along! one day when we move from this house I will truly miss our neighbors....

then daddy left for the game. at this point we knew that we were not going to be going to the game. eric wanted ashlyn to have a fun night. 

auntie ashley, mom & wally came over to have a fun night with us... we answered the door for trick or treaters first b/c as you have seen in pictures before our house is AWESOME! people would drive up to our house to trick or treat here. i probably had at least 30 kids. and that was before we left for ashlyn's second round of trick or treating when i had to put a note on the door... so sad. papa wally offered to stay and pass out but i said no. i wanted him to come with us! we had a great time!

here is ashlyn passing out candy! the families were awesome. we even had a few people ask to take pictures in front of the characters... mike meyers was the fan favorite. so scary. but so awesome!

auntie ash & grandma each had a hand! ashlyn felt so special you could tell. she loved having an entourage follow her around! haha!

this is our across the street neighbor, the newray's... here is their dog "peter pan" coming to check out the pirate... they had all three of their dogs dressed up! too cute! one year it would be fun for ash to dress as little red riding hood and bring yukon & lakota as her wolf. or three little pigs and they can be the big bad wolf. one of my friends dressed her twins & older daughter as three little pigs too cute... maybe when i have three...

you can't tell but this was right after a melt down.... candy coma! haha!

i was trying to get a good picture of them but ashlyn was afraid of his mask. she kept starring at him even once it was off! love what david said when we saw him walking around trick or treating... i say" why have you not come to our house yet?" david replies, "tiff, i am saving the best house for last!" 

the night continued with dinner after the game (as usual) with eric's parents & aunt ash at claim jumper. just before we left ashlyn had a total meltdown i did not think we were going to may it. but we did and had a great time! 

i would say our halloween was GREAT, FAMILY FILLED and EVENTFUL! thanks Mom, Wally & Ashley for joining us. we really had a great time together. can't wait for next year when halloween will be on a sunday.... NO Football Game = Daddy home!
