I love how active Eric is.  At almost {30} Eric is just as active as he was when we met! This weekend he played on a "thrown together" team...needless to say they did not do very well. But cool part is he got asked to play on an AWESOME flag team... more once I know for sure. The team that asked him to play has won multiple flag tournaments...we might even go to Vegas for one!! Oh wouldn't that be fun!

Ashlyn was a great cheerleader saying "d-ence" and "touchdown" when either team scored. Eric played great D even though they lost in the playoffs. But we all had fun. Ashlyn was stealing the show with all of Eric's friends. One of the guys on his normal team 786 was Ash's buddy carrying her around. She was loving it! I love days like these... and this was only the beginning of our day... more to come!

Well our Viking Football season came to a crashing sad end... and now we are on to our College Basketball Team, KANSAS! 

Eric ordered her this sweat outfit and we thinks she looks adorable! Hood up and all!

Here is the back story as to why I switched to JC Penny:

So some may know the story already but here it is again... So I have been taking studio pictures of Ashlyn and now Colton every month since they were born. There were a few months missed with Ash because after 1 year we decided they only needed them once every 3 months. But now that Colton is going every month why not have Ash take a few.  

I had been a Kiddie Kandids customer since March 2008. I developed a great relationship with the girls and photographers that worked there. Then one day I received 4 missed calls fro the studio. Hmm I thought... this is weird.. I have not placed any special orders, why are they calling so many times. I checked my vm to find out that the company had filed for bankruptcy and they were CLOSED! 

I called back and talked to several of the workers, we exchanged information and will try and keep in touch. They were all calling me asking permission to print some of the shots of Ashlyn to use in their portfolio. I obviously said yes! Then Jenn called, the manager, said she wanted to speak to me personally. It was so sweet and sad at the same time. Jenn had taken pictures many time of Ash even though she was not on the camera often... Last Feb. Kiddie Kandids was about to launch a new line "FACES" Well the pictures Jenn took of Ashlyn were chosen and used in the campaign. I didn't get anything but bragging rights - which I never did that is not like me- at the time Jenn gave me 2 sheets of only 2 poses.... but now I have them all printed & CD. 
Woo Hoo... 

Ok so sorry for the tangent....back to my story... Well when I had to venture out to a new studio... [I can't afford Krista & Jana every month {wish i could}]... I chose to go to JC Penny. Heard good things, good quality, good price, long wait for pictures (ugh hate that) but all in all I liked it. Not LOVE like I LOVED KK but I am trying....

{PARTY DAY} LMP Valentine's Party

On Friday Ashlyn had her first {PARTY DAY} since she started preschool! It was probably as exciting for her and it was for me. I could not wait for the sign up list, to make something cute, yummy & heart shaped. The list went up when we were on vacation so I missed out on some of the good stuff. Ashlyn and I ended up signing up for fruit tray. Well I didn't just want to bring boring fruit...so we jazzed it up a bit. I asked if I could bring jello cutouts in addition to the fruit. Ashlyn helped me make the jello & then I cut most of them out.... Ash helped on a few! She loved eating the extras...Then we made our fruit tray.... Bananas, Oranges and HEART SHAPED Watermelon! It was fun! 
Can't wait for the Easter Party!

I am so so so glad I don't know...

Last night me & the kids hung out with Kristine & Kayla. It is so enjoyable to watch & listen to the girls play together while Kristine & I visit. I don't remember my life at this age but I am sure Kayla & Ashlyn are just the way Christy & I and Nicole & Kristine were... uh oh..build in maids of honor... I can see it coming! 

Can't wait to watch as this little friendship blossoms....
