I can not believe I left out the most important part of last month in Ashlyn's 19 month post....
BOTTLES ARE GONE!!!!
Yeah! Her last one was September 27th at night right before bed...On that Monday morning she woke up and I asked her to help me in the kitchen. I grabbed a big handle bag and set it on the counter ~ brought her on the counter too (she loved that) I opened the cabinet and asked her to put all the bottles into the bag. While she was doing this I told her the bottles are going into the garbage and that she does not need them anymore. We walked to the side of the house where the garbage bins are. I lifted the lid, picked Ashlyn up, she dropped them in and the rest is history! I could not believe it she only pointed to where they were on Tuesday morning once. I handed her a cup of milk and that was that! OVER! DONE! GONE! YEAH!
Ok so back to the beginning...I tried to get rid of the bottle when Ash was 15 months...honestly now I know she was not ready then even though she had been using sippy cups since she was 6 months old. But she would never drink milk out of a sippy cup, only juice & water. So the week of the 21st we were at the mall and into the Disney store we went...we came across some nice sippy cups. Wish they had Tigger & Pooh, Ashlyn's favorite, but they didn't. Ashlyn found this Minnie cup and loved it! Now I wish I would have bought more than one. That night we made a HUGE deal about the cup. We praised her for drinking milk out of a cup, took pictures, Eric threw her up in the air, etc. For the next few days she was drinking milk out of this Minnie cup. So then we decided it was time ~ she showed us she was ready! And she was!

We were with Cousin Allie yesterday and she asked if Ashlyn still liked blueberries... I'll let this picture answer that question!
