Our Day of Fun at Aqua Adventure

Today we went to the new Fremont Water park, Aqua Adventure with Kristine & Kayla. Our Friend Krista took her daughter last week for her 2nd birthday and it looked like so much fun I wanted to take Ashlyn. Our plan was to go Wednesday so Eric could come too but when I checked the website it said that today was the last weekday it would be open. So we quickly changed our plans and went today.

Little bummer the Lil' squirts area was closed today and I know the girls would have loved it. But there was another area with mini slides where we could take them where the water was 1 ft. deep. At some point today all 4 of us got drenched by the huge bucket on top of this water structure...Kristine and Ashlyn got it the worst when they were not expecting it. It was so funny!

They have a lazy river there too...Kayla loved it Ashlyn not so much. Ashlyn liked it the second time around when we went without the tube. I wonder if she was just in an uncomfortable position - those life jackets don't look super comfy...

After the day was done Ashlyn was pooped! I think we all had a super fun day! And a new experience for the girls!

Water parks and cameras don't mix too well so I only got a few pictures of the kids...

Football Scrimmage and a visit to Daddy's work!

Today we had a super hot one out in Brentwood. Ashlyn and I tagged along with Daddy to his scrimmage at Heritage High. Oh my it was hot! We drank lots and lots of water. Lucky for us there was a slight breeze.

My favorite part of the day was when Ashlyn and I walked into the stadium she says "ampa" "ampa" she spotted Grandpa Ken on the field! Best part of the story is that I did not tell Ashlyn we were going to see Grandpa she found him all by herself!

Daddy accidently left his cell phone at home tonight so BUMMER ; ) Ashlyn and I had to drive down to the PD to give it to him. We played on the playground right outside and waited for Eric to get out of briefing. I am so bummed I did not have my camera b/c she was adorable climbing up the structures and sliding down the slide. Her smile on the swing was awesome too....

But when Eric got out we had to go back to the car to get his phone...there my camera was... and i took this AWESOME shot of Eric in uniform with Ashlyn in the police car. She was very interested in all the buttons and was not happy when we needed to say bye-bye.

Funny how something like leaving your cell phone at home turns into such a great memory!

Carnival Day at Mud Puddles!

Ashlyn and I went to Mud Puddles today to have a fun day at the Carnival.

It was great visiting with everyone

Visit with Family!

Today Ashlyn and I went out to visit family in Alameda. It was My Aunt Dani & Cousin Mia's birthday last week and I wanted to celebrate with them...Ok well that was just our excuse to get together which we try and so on a semi-regular basis.

It was such a fun day we visited, went out to lunch, visited more...could have stayed for hours. We always have that problem! Haha!

In the middle of all our visiting my Uncle Don and I went to see...get this...my Great- Great- Aunt Rose (Joge). It was a nice visit. We joked and talked about my belly. She was funny saying that I didn't look as fat as some people do pregnant! Hilarious! Always tough to leave...but warms my heart to have any special time I can with her.

While Uncle Don & I were gone...Mia & Dani took Ashlyn to get an ice cream cone. I guess she wasn't so sure about it at first. I am sure she enjoyed it once she realized it was ice cream...then she was zonked out! I guess that is the true sign of a fun day!

I forgot my camera that day but there are some funny pictures of Ashlyn trying to kiss the dog, Tucker...Thank you Dani for sending these to me...Priceless!

Hanging out with friends!

Today we hung out at Kristine's with Kayla, Nicole & Ryder. It has been so much fun to watch the kids develop their our friendships...Not that us Mommy's are not pushing for it... Here are a few pictures of the girls playing in the water together! We tried for a group picture of all three kids...but it was nap time by then and all the shots are blurry!

I will never be able to express the joy I felt when Ashlyn met Madison today. Not only is she my new niece but Nina and I have a 14 year friendship going... long before we met our husbands...It was a dream come true when our daughters met and the love between all of us,

Fun in the Sun -- Our Water Baby!

We have spend most of the summer out in our backyard with the hose! Ashlyn loves water! Today Daddy was able to hang out too and we got out our new Fire Truck Sprinkler! Ashlyn loved it so much and was so busy she would not look up at the camera...

Today Nicole, Kristine & I took the kids to get their picture taken. We had a blast...It was hilarious and a lot of work! After our photo shoot we were laughing saying there should have been a video camera in the room. We tried everything to get all three of them to look at the camera at the same time...

...blocks, cheerios (you might be able to see them by the kids feet), singing, juice, moved studio rooms, chairs, benches, etc

..It didn't happen but I still LOVE the pictures! And think they will LOVE these pictures once they are older....I know we will!

So thankful for awesome friends that are so much more than that...They are Family! Truly! We Love our Auntie Dup (Nicole) & Auntie Kristine and Cousin Ryder (Ash & Ryder are really 2nd cousins) & Cousin Kayla

Marine World again! This Time with Grandma Michelene!

Today we went to Marine World again but this time Grandma Michelene tagged along! We had so much fun!

saw the seal show, rode a helicopter ride with grandma, played in the water (it was super hot) , watched the dolphins (they got so close), fed the giraffe with mommy, rode my favorite froggy ride with daddy (3 times in a row), more rides, tiger show again (had to show grandma how cool it was), took grandma to see shouka and the dolphins through the glass, and last danced with the characters...

What a day! Mommy was pooped!!! Lot's of walking when you are 9 months prego~

well so glad i have finally started doing this blog... really sad that i did not listen to my friends sooner. i have decided to go back as far as i can until baby #2 arrives. then i'll just go forward. i am really using this blog as a journal for the kids. i want then to have a record of all the fun and joy we (eric and i) are having as mommy and daddy. we were just saying that this past year and a half (almost) has been the best of our lives. we are so thankful for our little peanut ashlyn ra marie!

at 17 months old ASHLYN is....

wearing size 4 diapers, 12-18 mo clothes, size 4 shoes

loves any type of food. we know we are super lucky!

favorites include...apples, blueberries, melons (she is going to turn into one by the end of summer i swear), chicken, rice, cheese sticks, a usual favorite...daddy's eggs and oatmeal with blueberries. oh and how could we forget her milk...not called "moorre" anymore, grandma mike and i are so sad about that.

loves to read books....some of my favorite moments have been listening to her read to herself...she definitly has her favorites that mommy and daddy would like to change when we read them over and over every night before bed.

loves her baby dolls. new play has been her telling them to sit in the crib. hilarious to listen to her boss them around...uh-oh...new baby cousin and brother or sister coming soon to boss too.

loves to dance. loved so you think you can dance series. i now have a buddy to watch those shows with me. we got some great video footage of ashlyn dancing and trying to follow along....i really need to look into a community dance class. i don't think she is ready for following directions but if it was free form she would love it!

loves water! we have spent most of our summer outside in our new backyard. eric and i are so glad we went with the turf b/c if not we would have mud puddles...how about we leave those to grandma's school : )

loves making messes in her playroom. our neighbors gave us an awesome large pottery barn table just her size with drawers that she can fill and pull out herself. we have been working on the "fill herself" part with cleanup time. mommy and daddy seem to do most of that although she is getting better.

loves bathtime! especially if mommy or daddy join in.

loves projects...stickers and dot art are the new cool things to do! make sure you hide that elmo sticker book or else...

is VERY independent. likes to do things on her own. well with in reason. although she just learned how to climb in and out of our bed. i guess she is really ready for her big girl bed...to be delivered in a couple of weeks.

went on two big vacations this month....camping in yosemite and cabo! one lucky girl i would say. she even has her own passport! what 17 month old has a passport at all let alone has used it!

and almost forgot had her first starbucks drink all by herself! vanilla frap...yummy!
