St. Patrick's Day

MARCH 17th: a little delayed... but here are the kiddos on St. Patrick's day. They both had {Sham-Rocker Shirts} I got one for Madison too... but we did not see her on St. Patty's day so no pics...

Today was fun. 

I love these holidays that we can enjoy 

and just create a fun day for our children.

In our house we: Have St. Patrick's Day Decorations, 

Made lots of Green Food, 

Dressed in Green (w/ a Green Hair Bow of course), 

Played with Green Playdough, 

and Colored with Green Markers! 

What a Fun Day!

...the lights went out...

march 22nd: tonight at around 6:30ish the power went out. at the time i was washing the truck and eric was still at work. the kids were playing on our front lawn. neighbors came out to see what was going on it was fun to visit, laugh and joke together.... then we decided that we should all go in because the power had been out for a while and we better prepare while we could still {somewhat} see. by then eric had come home. i cleaned up my mess outside. 

and the fun began. we lit many candles around the house. ashlyn walked, well ran around with a flashlight loving all the shadows on the walls. she was not afraid of the dark at all. eric and i were shocked. we hung out chatting about our day while the kids played on the floor in the candlelight. there was something nice about not having any background noise. we usually have music on or a sports game. and that "noise" has become our norm. it was nice to be away form all of the unnatural "noise" and love and cherish our crazy, loud might i say Natural Noise! 

we lit our tiki torches in the backyard. most had new wick's so they were really letting off some major light. again... the beauty of the kids playing. ashlyn running around with the dogs, colton on a blanket. eric and I making dinner (well making a salad we ordered a pizza - predetermined before the power outage) then Colton to bed... and the 3 of us ate dinner in the backyard under our tiki torches and solar lights. 

PERFECTION! and a BEAUTIFUL night of FAMILY!!!! 

(i dont use my flash often... but had to tonight, ash would not sit still enough for me to get one w/o)

MARCH 23rd: yesterday at school {mud puddles} Bills Pony Pictures came. it is so much fun the kids each get to ride a pony, get all dressed up like a cowboy/girl, take a pictures on the pony, take a posed picture with a western background... super cute... the pictures don't come in till next Tuesday but here are a few from my camera...

ashlyn's pony ride. She loved it and was smiling... but I was actually using the camera on video mode so I missed some of the still shot smiles.

me: if you want to take a picture with your pony you need to look at the camera.

ash: continued to not look.... even for bill's camera shots. lets hope he got her to look in at least 1.

i took this picture in the morning right before we got into the car. i was hoping to get some cute ones but her tongue was out in all of them... thanks ash! 

welcome back blog...i've missed you...

hello to my online journal (and my blog friends) sorry i've been gone for so long... we have been a little busy since my last post... after we got home from montana... 

the 4 of us went to disneyland
 then came home and went on a fabulous weekend getaway with our wittmer gang 
came home and dove right into party planning {my favorite thing to do}
 colton turned 6 months 
ate solid food for the first time
 ive been busy making baby food 
ashlyn had her 2nd birthday
 lots of celebrating
lots of pictures to share
 we took family pictures 
ashlyn's party!!! AWESOME! i was crazy busy and didn't get to everything i wanted to but it was a blast  lots of learning to do with my new program photoshop {i dont even know where to begin, my cuz brian             
       loaded it up for me but did not give a tutorial : ) }
