Colton at 2 weeks old!!!

COLTON at TWO weeks old is...

wearing newborn diapers, newborn clothes (they are starting to fit better) and newborn size 0 shoes

is weighs 8 lbs 7.5oz in the 43%, 21 1/4 inches long in the 74%

update on his collar bone fracture...dr. sinai says that colton does not need to go to physical therapy. looks like he is already healing. should be completely healed in 4 weeks (by our next dr. appt)

lost his umbilical cord...finally. ashlyn's fell off so much sooner. no more sponge baths...yes!

finally had his first real bath. he did not like it at all...daddy predicted that....he still does not like being naked. this little man loves to be cuddled up!

still sleeping & eating well. waking up for longer periods of the day. eyes open for 30-40 minutes now. finally starting to get some eyes open pictures!

looking more and more like daddy... he has his daddy's nose and we think starting to get daddy's face shape too! still has mommy's dark hair! yeah one point for mommy!

lifting his head while doing tummy time! likes to just chill for most of tummy time but does lift his head occasionally especially when startled by a sound or big sister.

beginning to follow voices with his eyes and looking at faces. it is so enjoyable to begin interacting...i know it will be a while but the first glances at us are super priceless.

Here are some of our favorites from this past week...

love this shot...colton is relaxing on auntie mons while i play with my new toy(camera)...
i'm playing around with all the different settings...
wonder what little man is thinking...

peeking through his onesie...auntie christy and mommy giving colton a sponge bath!

little brother colton and big sister ashlyn

melted into the boppy...wish i slept that well

Family updates:
Mommy is doing well and feeling great. Tired at times but the word rest does not exist unless both kids are sleeping and even then that is when the most house chores get done. I am doing well finding a balance between both kids. It has been great because Colton takes a nice nap in the morning allowing Ashlyn and I to have our own time. Need my double stroller because until then taking both kids out on my own is a little difficult. We finally decided which one to get...should be in stock on Friday! Yeah can't wait! A big toy for Mommy!

Daddy has been home the past two weeks. Which has been awesome. I know we will all miss him when he goes back on Saturday. Football is in full swing so have not been able to do many day trips or activities...luckily Eric and I did a lot with Ashlyn this summer!

Ashlyn is awesome! Transitioning into her BIG SISTER roll very well. Some increased whining...which we expected. Wanting her pacifier a little more than usual since she normally can only have it a nap and bed time. Something we are not too concerned with...she will leave it eventually! She loves to hold Colton and she actually does a good job. She cracks me up though cause she says "all done" the same way she does when she is done eating! Haha!
