i am a great police wife ~ at least i think of myself as one ~ because i typically do not worry. sometimes i do and eric works with me and lets me vent it out, but this is really the first time when i have experienced him getting hurt on the job. honestly it was not that serious and i feel very lucky for that. here is the g rated version...he was at a call, 4 others officers were there with him, they kicked down the door, handcuffed everyone, the guy eric had was super drunk and eric tried to help him up and the guy just became dead weight, eric's hands were still on his cuffs and the guy jerked his back.
so he is home the rest of the week, not able to pick up ashlyn which is killing him, not able to go to the gym and lift, not able to do much, no mowing lawns or washing cars (he acts like these things annoy him but he loves doing it) he is in a lot of pain...i know because he never likes to admit when he is in pain - he is admitting it now.
so looking at the bright side i am loving that i have 3 babies to take care of this week. hoping and praying for a speedy recovery for his back. praying more that it is just a strain and not a misplaced disk or something serious...ugh...so much to worry about but no time to worry when i have my 2 babies that rely on me to take care of them...
funny though how amazing life is. i look over at ashlyn and colton and think how lucky i am to have the best children in the world. eric and i are so lucky to have each other and our kiddos. we say that to each other everyday...mostly with tears in our eyes. ashlyn knows just when to throw her sweet smiles our way to put life in prospective! we are so fortunate. and i need to feel that way this week with eric's injury...it is just not always that easy! my mind wanders to the world of possibility. i just need to put my faith in god that he will keep all of us safe and together!
ill keep you updated on eric's status...
